Introduction

Laying the Foundation for Total Health

The word "chiropractic" comes from the Greek words cheir- (hand) and -praxis (action) and literally means "done by hand." Instead of prescribing drugs or performing surgeries, chiropractors use manual treatments of the spine and joints, along with therapies and lifestyle changes to allow the body's natural state of health to fully express itself. Here you'll find some of the manipulation techniques used here at Saunders Chiropractic to get you back to living pain-free.

Types of Care at Saunders Chiropractic

Diversified

After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spiral joints.

Activator Methods

This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.

Thompson

Thompson Terminal Point technique is a system of analysis and a special table that reduces the amount of energy needed to adjust your spine.

Disc Decompression

Our specifically-equipped table will ever so slowly stretch your spine. Then relax it. Then stretch and relax it again. Excellent for disc cases.

Gonstead Method

This full spine approach relies on X-rays and a heat-sensing instrument for a thorough evaluation and documented results.

SOT

Sacro Occipital Techniques helps normalize the relationship between the pelvis and the head using gravity to make the necessary correction.

Applied Kinesiology

Testing the strength of specific muscles of your body helps us find structural, chemical and mental problems and monitor your results.

Atlas Orthogonal

After studying the relationship between your skull and spine, our instrument uses a gentle percussive force to move the uppermost bone of your spine
